#WineTastingNotes #WhiteWines Once won’t hurt, last Friday during our weekly staff tasting we had the opportunity to taste two white wines. Both #Chardonnay of course, both from Burgundy but from different area, the first one was from Pernand – Vergelesses and the other one from Santenay. Different soil, different terroir so different style. CLOS DU MOULIN AUX MOINES Pernand Vergelesses Les Combottes 2012 Yellow light color with a nice and expressive nose spreading some citrusy flavor. Really crispy on the palate, you’ll also get some grapefruit, lemon, green apple and a bit of lime and white pepper on the end. This is a really good example of wine from Pernand Vergelesses, medium body nice acidity, great minerality, with a long finish. Really expressive and complex wine, beautiful! MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE Santenay La comme dessus 2011 Yellow pale color, not really expressive on the nose however you get a bit of floral flavor. Heavy body with a really smooth texture, light acidity, ripe fruit, floral, ripe grape and lot’s of oak. It’s a very example of Santenay wine.
