Wish we could figure out how to catch this 18,000 gallons per hour running down one street, in one city, in one hour, heading out to Monterey Bay. Seems like a huge opportunity. I was standing in front of PG Middle waiting to check the rainwater tank level and noticed how much fresh water was running down the street. Catching it would keep more pollutants and hydrocarbons out of Monterey Bay and provide non-potable water for irrigation. With the right public policy in the area the water could be used for flushing toilets, washing cars, etc. Imagine when this video was taken it was probably happening in 1000 different other places around the Monterey Peninsula! Imagine!
