With a heavy heart I write this... The past few days have been one of the most defining moments our armed forces has faced over the reparation of SGT. Berghdal. Our brave soldiers stepped forth to set the record straight on who this deserter was. When you have politicians, the lame stream media, talking heads questioning the integrity of our soldiers who stepped forth I have a problem with that. I hate when our young men and woman are being used as political pawns by people who have no concept of who we are or what we do. I posted the creed of all our armed forces hoping you will all take the time to read them and see why we are the way we are. I read through every creed of our sister service, and I’m not going to lie my eye’s whaled up with tears as I read them. Reading them brought so much pride knowing we are the best of the best. I never knew how powerful reading them was. When you are in you take it for granted. But when you are out and really read them all you can say is wow. I am apart, I lived these creeds. We are exceptional and we deserve every benefit and then some for our service. The first thing the politicians come after is our budget. The VA debacle, prisoner swap, and a deserter home coming made me want to puke. We are not pawns I challenge you to read the creeds our men and woman live by in uniform. I shudder, thinking if we didnt have these creeds and lived by those standards. I love this country, there is not a day goes by that I don’t think about being back in. We are special; we are the defenders of our country and way of life. Today marks 70 years ago today our soldiers storm the beaches of Normandy. Many of the greatest generation are in there 90’s and in five more years there will be none left. 70 years ago today we liberated Europe, now we pick up the mantel and move forward for we are soldiers, we are Americans… RLTW! “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. ~ John 15:13~
