With all respect to my well read big brother Jerome Ebacher, who I deeply respect, especially with regard to philosophical discourse, something I dont have, I also confess a belief in God, and in particular in the divinity of his son, Jesus. I doubt Facebook is a great venue for this. My faith is emotional and beyond argument or logic. I know good and evil exist of themselves and in all of us. I know God exists because I feel his presence and the presence of his angels. I know God loves us, to this day, despite or quite possibly because of this struggle between good and evil in the human soul. I believe we are called to be more than ourselves, to become beings striving to be closer to God by becoming closer to our world-wide brothers and sisters. I reject all acts of hate in the name of God, acts which defile our relationships with our brothers and sisters and drive us away from Him. My brother Jeromes apologetics is worthy of his name sake, my dear departed Uncle Roger, whos monastic name was Jerome.
