With waves and wind all around, Peter wasnt sure that he could trust his eyes... But he knew that he could trust the Word of the Lord. “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. I love reading over this passage of Scripture. Peters confidence in the command of Jesus, and his trust in Jesus Word is note worthy to say the least! But I love to think about the power of Jesus command. Come. It was a Word that couldnt just be believed and trusted in... it could be stood upon! It was strong enough for Peter to walk on. It was solid ground. When the Lord speaks and directs us to act, He doesnt just want us to demonstrate our faith blindly. He wants us to follow Him understanding the strength of His Word. When we live like Peter and know that the Word of the Lord is stronger than what we can understand with our eyes, we wont just walk in faith. We will stand and take each step on the firmest safest ground there is... The Word of the Lord. Come. Where is the Lord calling you today? Do some of the steps seem scary? Or worse, dangerous? If He is calling you... I promise there is no safer place for you to be. His Word NEVER fails. Think on that this evening... His Word Never fails. WITH LOVE,
