Woke up at 3am this morning to do the sunrise hike up Mount Batur. Its a challenging climb up this active volcano but the view is worth it. Beautiful! My fave part though was sand skiing on our way down on the black sand which came from the volcano. What a rush! We also got to see 3 craters and the traces of lava it had left behind. They cooked our breakfast of eggs and bananas in the steam holes which were extremely hot! Near one of the craters you could smell the sulfur which had the hottest steam out of all of them. Fun experience!
