Wonder if anybody remembers the day The Tricorn hosted the players and their families and friends and Club members to an after Charity Football Match Disco held in Portsmouth (Pompey v Entertainers)on a Sunday early 70`s- When it came to introducing the Stars the host brought on the likes of Ray Winstone, Jack Shepherd, actors from Coronation Street, Tony Selby etc - most people wanted to see Richard Beckinsale who had travelled in his own car which he parked under the Club- nowhere to be seen one of the team went down the back stairs to RB`s car- he was in it - I`ll never forget the host saying here is is.................. Beckinsale charged in from the box office entrance went to the stage , waved and shot down the back stairs back to his car - To this day I can`t think what the donwstairs attraction might have been !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
