Wonderful Spark and to every person on this page that has posted or made a loving comment...you are my heroes. Love David I found this page during the darkest days of my life. My husband and best friend went to pick up our only child at dance at the middle school she went to in our town. It was cold when she went, but had started to snow very hard by the time my husband went to get her. He pulled into the school and told our doughtier it was time to go home because of the snow conditions. They headed home and about a mile from our home a tractor trailer truck lost control of his rig and when he saw my family he tried to turn sharper to miss them. He turned so hard that the truck and trailer overturned on to my families car. When the rescue people got to them they both were still alive and the man driving the truck was trying everything he could to get them out of the car. The fire and rescue people got the truck driver back from the car and went to work on getting them out of the car. They both only lived for about 20 minutes and then passed away due to the severeness of their injuries. I had a police man knock at my door and knew something was wrong becacuse they were late getting home and neither one of them answered their cell phones. He told me that they had been killed in an accident on their way home. I asked if it was due to a drunk driver and he said no, it was because of the weather. My husbanded and daughter were organ donors and in the loss of their lives, they touched 12 people. I was glad about that, but felt like I should have been their for them. About a month after the accident I got a know at the door and it was a fireman and another man. I opened the door and asked if I could help them and they asked if they could talk to me. I told them to come in.The fireman said he was the one who climbed into the backseat and this was the truck driver. I got very mad at the truck driver and started to say very mean things until the fireman cut me off and told me that their was nothing he could have done because a car spun out in front of him. I asked why they were here and they both said to give you the messages that your family asked us to deliver.The truck driver handed me a cd disk and told me that I could listen to it when I wanted to and the fireman did the something. They both said that my husband asked them t record a message to me from my daughter and him. I could not listen to the messages at that time and both men told me that my husband said to live life and they would see me in heaven. It had been another 9 months and I still had not listened to the messages from my family yet. I had found this page and started to read every story that was posted and then I called the one spark office to try to get more of them and to my surprise Dave was the one who was on the phone. I asked if he was Dave, he said yes he was and we began to talk about my life and how horrible it was. Dave asked me an odd question that day. He said why didnt you go to pick up your daughter with your husband?I said I started to and at the last moment I said I was going to stay home. He said ok I hope you know there is something left for you to do on this earth or you would have been in the car with your famile. I told him about the recordings my daughter and husband left me and how I came to have them. He said that is awesome and then he said I am sure they have brought you much comfort. He said what the heck are you doing. He said if you have cancer and had the cure on your table would you take it? I said yes and he said listen to the disks. I have now listened to the recordings and have found peace in them. I probably would have never listened to them without the love and encouragement I found on this page.
