Word for the day; Hypocrite And I don’t direct this at any one individual person or party, there’s plenty of this going around, both sides. Spin a poll here, focus on one word of a sentence, selected sound bites here and there, it’s all BS. “I was elected to do this.” “Why negotiate with something that is already mine.” Pride and arrogance, that’s all it is. But who is being affected by this? Us, not them. They (all of them) have the tools to make this work, they just need to use them the way they were intended to be used. Sitting in a room together and saying I won’t negotiate isn’t a negotiation. Lock them in that room and don’t let them out until something is decided. At this point I don’t even care what they come up with. You know why? No matter what they decide, it will all come out in the wash. Always has, always will. Can the consequences of a bad decision be any worse than what we are seeing now? I doubt it. And we as individuals need to take the blinders off. If you can honestly sit there and blame only one person or one party, I suggest that your objectivity has been tainted by the Kool Aid. Those who are supposed to be leading us are only emboldened by that kind of following. Remember, no matter what the political affiliation may be, we are still all Americans. In the mean time we have people representing us all over the world. Some of them are even dying. And for what? For what we’ve seen take place in Washington this week? I know of individuals who took part in an Angel Flight transfer on Monday, only to be told they were not “mission essential” on Tuesday. I’m sorry, but that’s messed up. And I don’t blame one party or the other, I blame them all. I love this country more than my own life. But right now I have lost all respect for my government and it’s so called leaders.
