Working with the Funeral Ushers and Repast ministries, have caused me to witness many funerals at my church. . Its not easy for me to attend funerals, for I am always reminded of the death of my husband, my only sister and sibling who died at age 28, my mother, my father, my grandparents, my great-grandson Sion ,who died at age one month old, on Christmas day 2010, and the death of many aunts, uncles, cousins ,and friends. I am well acquainted with death. But for some reason the funeral of Jerell Ingram, an African American male, age 26, on yesterday (9/15/14), has stayed with me. I believe it was seeing hundreds of black young men in mourning over the lost of yet another black male child. They testified of how they were even tired of the violence and murders themselves. Tears of hopelessness and grief flooded the atmosphere. These are our sons, our grandsons, our nephews etc.. Beloved dont let the hard core of the outer shell fool you, these young men are looking for answers, they are seeking the truth. They are confused, hurting, in despair, wanting to be loved, wanting to be accepted. This is why they are turning to FALSE religions that fosters a FALSE sense of unity, such as Islam. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR JESUS, BUT DONT KNOW IT. Beloved let us utilize EVERY opportunity to spread the Gospel of Love to these young people and old as well.**** About a hundred or more young men came back to our church for the repast, to eat and fellowship with their friends and family. How powerful it would have been to have had a Christian brother at every table, just as it was at our Mens Breakfast, to talk and share the love of Jesus with these unsaved young men. I believe in my heart that this is the season for uncharted pathways to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ . Let us seize the moment, even the KAIROS moment of Gods opportunities. **He that have an ear to hear, hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying ..\0/
