Worse BDay ever! My beloved father passed away yesterday, which makes turning 50, completely irrelevant today. He was a true gentleman, a brilliant mind, (kind of a mix between Sheldon Cooper and Mr. Roberts) and my true knight in shining armor. As I spend the night watching helplessly as my mother, who refused to leave her home, suffers and mourns him cruelly, for he was her true soul mate in every sense, I am constantly reminded of his hand holding mine, in order to teach me about everything under the sun. He was passionate for knowledge and discoveries, he was fiercely loyal to his principals, but more so, to his family. He was a throat cancer survivor for more than 20 years, which made his life hell, when he lost his voice; he loved to sing, was a passionate classical music lover, a patron of the arts, and a true nature scientist, and a hell of an forestry engineer economist. He read everything he could get his hands on, and has photographic memory. He adopted my husband and my sisters in law, with open arms, and was a true father to them. In a two year period, he went from being just a father, to becoming grandfather to 6! My kids only knew him in his decaying health state, and he missed on so much of their childhood, in account of it. A devastating blow......
