Worst service Ive seen. I strongly encourage anyone thinking on ordering products from the United States to Mexico to STAY AWAY FROM FEDEX. I believe FEDEX Mexico is in some sort of corrupt understanding with the Toluca customs officials and want to overcharge customers in order to get their shipments. I have talked to few customs agents in Mexico and they all agreed that this is a common practice with FEDEX when the shipments come through the Toluca Airport, and they have all recommended me to choose a different packaging company or don’t order products from the United States at all. This is my case: Tracking number 597216007326. I ordered some parts from ifixit. Everything was going great until the parts got to Toluca international airport. Once in Toluca FedEx told me that it will take some days while my shipment cleared customs. I contacted them every other day, for 4 weeks, and every time I contacted FedEx or went to the tracking shipment site they said Recommended action: No action required at this time. Then the last time I called FedEx they told me that since I didn’t claim the shipment the first 5 days it arrived to Toluca, that it was now in the hands of customs an in order to release it I have to pay FedEx 200 dlls approx. and 600 dlls to customs. THIS IS NONSENSE I had been tracking my shipment for 30 days and now all of a sudden without any warning I have to pay 4 times what the shipment was initially worth in order to get MY products. This is EXTORSION I strongly encourage everyone in Mexico to stay away from FEDEX!!!
