Would like to share our Austronesian Brother who has been located at Easter Island, a remote island of the Southeast Pacific. The Dutch Explorers had discovered this island in 1772 as they had been sailing on an easter sunday. This group of Austronesian had been called Polynesian[From Greek word POLY, marami; NESUS, pulo). They had sailed these remote islands of the Pacific, probably 1200 A.D., a period in which Polynesians voyaged to the East Pacific and perhaps to the Americas. DNA from 12 Easter Island Skeletons had been found to be Polynesian. This group of Austronesian Settlers had erected 1000 enormous stone statues across the island (164 sq. km.) These statues have amazed researchers as the statues stand 20 meters tall and weight 10 to 12 tons. Some of them even weigh 40 tons. Its been a mystery to build these monuments. These moai, stone monuments (Rapa Nui National Park, has been listed as a World Heritage Site. Today Easter Island has been special territory of Chile due to annexation in 1888...
