Would you walk into a forest knowing there were a pack of wolves - TopicsExpress

Would you walk into a forest knowing there were a pack of wolves that havent eaten in days or weeks? Wolves that are starving for anything that gets in their way. They are on one mission and nothing else matters to them no matter what the cost and that is to fill their stomachs. Satan is the same way! He is panicked, he knows his time is almost up. He knows hes already been defeated by our Lord, hes just wandering around looking for any soul that he can take with him. Hes building his army of sinners consisting of the weak ones, the runts of the litter if you would, that can not defend their selves because they have no Faith! 1 Peter 5:8-11 8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. Lions attack sick, young, or straggling animals; they choose victims who are alone or not alert. Peter warns us to watch out for Satan when we are suffering or being persecuted. Feeling alone, weak, helpless, and cut off from other believers, so focused on our troubles that we forget to watch for danger, we are especially vulnerable to Satans attacks. During times of suffering, seek other Christians for support. Keep your eyes on Christ and resist the devil. Then says James, he will flee from you (James 4:7). When we are suffering, we often feel as though our pain will never end. Peter gave these faithful Christians the wider perspective. In comparison with eternity, their suffering would last only a little while. Some of Peters readers would be strengthened and delivered in their own lifetimes. Others would be released from their suffering through death. All of Gods faithful followers are assured of an eternal life with Christ where there will be no suffering (Revelation 21:4). Have a Blessed Day everyone, Jesus loves you and so do I.
