Wow! This is how Advocare can change lives! Take a few minutes and read this message from our teammate, Serina Williams. AMAZING PEOPLE! ~ WELL, I have a few days in the hospital so why not type out a book on FB?! It’s been 5 years today that we made the decision to use the money that we were saving for our wedding to invest in our future and get Jahmal to the Advisor status in AdvoCare (Advisor is just a fancy term for top discount & ability to earn income 5 ways). I had already been an Advisor for the previous 5 years because I love to save money and I knew that I was going to take AdvoCare products for the rest of my life because I felt amazing so it just made sense. Here’s what my skeptical husband saw & heard 5 years ago...my friend Melanie was earning $10,000+ per month as a stay-at-home mom with AdvoCare and she spoke these words to him with a genuine passion, “We are going to the top of this company and we are taking people with us. If you know of anyone who wants to go, let us know and we will help them”. That’s all my husband needed to see and hear. First, she had the time freedom that we were wanting so bad, but couldn’t figure out how to get. I was working 8-5 and he was working 2-10. We were about to get married and we were never going to see each. That is not the marriage that we wanted. Second, she knew where she was going. At that point, the “top of the company” was about $650K/year. It’s now well over $3 million. Third, she said that they would help us or anyone we knew that wanted to go where she was going. We made the decision that THIS was the vehicle that we were going to use to achieve our goals because our J.O.B.’s just simply weren’t going to be able to do that. In the beginning, we could really only see $1,000/ month. Both of us had tried other network marketing companies before and didn’t see success with them so I believe that we kept our immediate goals small as a protection mechanism. We were quickly earning $1,000 per month and helping others do the same. Then life hit us...Jahmal lost his job, I got a substantial pay cut, and we ended up losing my condo to foreclosure and moving into the basement of our incredible friends house in Washington. Thankfully, I was blessed with a Personal Assistant job with those incredible friends and Jahmal went back to work. We were beginning to get back on our feet, but then we got hit with the news that I had breast cancer. Although we were earning some great part-time income with AdvoCare, it still wasn’t quite enough to get Jahmal out of his job which meant that he couldn’t be with me at almost all of my appointments because he had to be at work. As many people know, I am a pretty independent person, but I still wanted him to be with me as I went into my first battle with this giant called ‘cancer’. It was at this point we had a VERY important decision to make....were we going to use cancer as an excuse to slow down with AdvoCare or as a reason to speed up and start impacting more lives with the products and/or the income opportunity? We chose the latter and within a year and a half we went from the Silver level (avg. $12K/year) to the Ruby level (avg. $80K/year) which allowed my husband to leave his job and come home to be a work-from-home husband with me as we continued to help others achieve whatever goals they had. As I look back, I am so happy we turned our excuse into a reason because in January of 2013, I was diagnosed with breast cancer for a 2nd time, BUT this time it was different. This time, Jahmal was going to be able to be with me at all of my appointments and be by my side on the tough days. There is no amount of money that can replace him being there, BUT it took an income from AdvoCare in order to make that happen! We planned the surgeries & treatments around AdvoCare activities because although we had reached our goal of getting Jahmal out of his job, we still had a lot of friends and team members that needed to reach theirs and it was our responsibility to help them. We continued to grow & help our team and because of that, our AdvoCare check continued to grow. I am still blown away that with a job loss, a paycut, a foreclosure, a move, and now 3 battles of cancer, that we earn more in AdvoCare than we ever did with our 2 full-time jobs COMBINED! So, here we are today. I got admitted into the hospital for Round 2 of a 4-day hospital stay for my chemo treatment plan for my 3rd battle with cancer. My husband was with me this morning and then went home to work with our team and change the lives of anyone that is ready & willing and I love that because we have never let go of the vision that Melanie spoke to us in 2009....we are going to the top of this company and we are taking people with us! Not only are we going to be able to achieve financial & time freedom, but we are also helping others do the same and AdvoCare is the vehicle that we and thousands of others have chosen to make that happen. Have we moved fast, nope. We have a couple on our team that has passed us up and were earning $30K/month in their first 10 months and another couple that earned $60K in their first year and over $300K in their 2nd year. That’s something that I love about AdvoCare....your paycheck value is determined based on the value that you add to others. Add value to more lives and you will see your paycheck grow! Here’s what I do know...our paycheck at our jobs has always been pre-determined for us and we were never going to be able to earn the amount that we have earned in AdvoCare. I’m so grateful that we were told to be different and break the chains of having someone else pre-determine our value. Bottom line is that we know we are hard workers, but as I heard a great man Matt Warren say “you can work really hard with the wrong vehicle and still be struggling”. I realized that was me for the first 15 years of my “working life” (I started working when I was 14). Thankfully, the right vehicle came along and we are no longer struggling. Our life is incredible and it’s not just because of the products or the compensation plan, but one of the biggest reasons that we have an incredible life is because of the people in AdvoCare. I once heard someone say “there are people that look their whole life to be surrounded by the type of people that you find in AdvoCare”. It’s true...simple as that. Are there tough days when you feel like throwing in the towel? In the beginning, there were, BUT you can’t unsee what you have already seen. Because of that I will NEVER EVER give up. I have seen the freedom that AdvoCare has provided not only for myself, but for many of those that have come before me and even those that have started after me. Freedom means different things to different people and we will continue to fight for whatever freedom is to those that choose to join the journey with us! I could never have imagined that we would have the life that we have today when we got started 5 years ago. Actually, imagining what our life would be like now without AdvoCare is truly frightening! Has it ALL been worth it....ABSOLUTELY! So why am I posting this....I am posting this for the skeptics, or for those who think AdvoCare is just another one of “those things”, or for those that feel that they can’t do AdvoCare for a variety of different reasons (we have heard them all!), or for those that are sick & tired of being sick & tired, or for those that have been searching for a way to turn their dreams into reality, or for those that know that they were meant for greatness, or for those that lay awake at night stressing about how they are going to get through another day, or for those that have been brought to their knees praying for a way to get out of the situation they are in. I am posting this because it would be flat out selfish of me to not share something that has completely changed my life and the lives of hundreds of thousands of other CHAMPIONS!
