Wow! We needed two Fun Bus Adventures shuttle buses to complete Stuff-A-Bus 2014 because 6,823 pounds of non-perishable food items and toiletries were donated to our Choice Food Pantry – nearly double what was collected in 2013! This is the first year we were able to completely stuff a bus. Thank you to our 40+ drop-off sites, donors and Fun Bus for helping feed hungry individuals in need in Fairfield County. This annual Christmas-time food drive helps keep our food pantry shelves well stocked. We anticipate ending 2014 with a 10 percent increase in the number of food orders provided as compared to the 2013 total. Last year, Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency provided 3,956 households 11,430 food orders – enough to make 250,542 meals.
