Wow...never knew Bahamians could be so hateful until this discussion about immigration came to the fore. I have no problem with our laws being enforced...thats why we have them. Can we not at least have a discussion on immigration without being cruel to people who flee their homeland in search of the bare necessities (food, clothing, shelter, etc.) ?. Calling them blood suckers and using other derogatory slurs is unnecessary and not helpful (smacks of the way blacks were treated by others in the not so distant past). Lets enforce our laws in a humane and civilized manner. Dont Bahamians living abroad illegally deserve the same compassionate treatment? (and dont tell me none of you know one or two Bahamians who have overstayed their student visas in the States). Im just sayin.
