Wow, what an incredible day at the Mpumalanga Short Film Festival Awards. Our film Phindiles Heart received 23 nominations and won 5 awards, including Best Director for yours truly. I received my award with the words I never dreamed this film would do so well and it is our audience that have loved and appreciated it, and we thank you all for that. Thank you to the organizer, Sifiso Nobela and his team for this prestigious event, the sponsors for your generous contribution, my husband for his support, my daughter for her encouragement, my step-children for their assistance, my brother Sheldon for the many hours he spent putting the film together, my brother Elbon for his guidance, my sister Abigail for her advice. Lolo for writing such a beautiful story, Khensani for her amazing performance, Douglas for his vision, the entire crew and cast. Thanks to my dear mother for her prayers and all praise and glory to our Almighty God with whom all things are possible. Thank you Mpumalanga!
