YOU HAVE WON GODS FAVOUR AS A CHOSEN INSTRUMENT OF GOD Luke 1:26-38 It is a special honor to be chosen as an instrument for God. That means, to be used specially by God. There are many people in the world but God decide at every point in time to choose someone to do a special task for Him. It is a privilege and honor to be chosen. The words of the angel to Mary in Luke 1:26-28 Rejoice so highly favoured! The Lord is with you.... You have won Gods favour. It implies that,of all the people in this world, there is something special about Mary that no other person in the world had at that time. This was the same thing God told Ananias when he was unwilling to go and lay hands on Paul, after Pauls encounter with God on his way to Damascus. Go for he is a chosen instrument of mine, to bear my name before the Gentiles and Kings and the sons of Israel. In Acts.9:15 Ananias himself was not chosen for this assignment but a murderer and an enemy of the Gospel. The question is, can God use you? Each of us is unique and has a special assignment from God. Sometimes we may see problems,delay, obstacles or challenges we might be conscious of our weakness and mistakes but we can still be chosen. When David offered to be the instrument to build Gods house, God told him that he was not the chosen one,2Samuel 7:12-13. God then promised to raise a son to build the temple. David was a muderer, but he had a desire for God that was rewarded by making Jesus come from his line. It is a privilege to be chosen by God. This is what is said about Israel Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,and the people who He has chosen as His own inheritance,Psalm 33:12. Zachariah was chosen to be the father of John the Baptist because,he was faithful to God despite the fact that he had no child. Moses was privilege to be the commander that led the children of Isreal from Egypt because he always wanted to help Israel. Abraham was old, yet God chose him to leave his fathers house because he could be detached,Genesis 12:1. The size of the assignment does not depend on the qualification of the person,what God needs,is the willingness to want to do it. Someone reading this message today may be the chosen one,but you may be wondering why you. There are many people in the world but no one can do it as you.There can not be another you. Prayers : O God,if you are looking for some to use specially,why not look in my direction. .
