Yes, but whats even more interesting to me is how this phenomenon pertains for structures at different scales -- organic molecules for a general example, genes for a specific one -- even if these other structures number fewer by virtue of being sometimes orders of magnitude larger than atoms. Say, very complex hydrocarbon molecules recycled through genetic self-replication (and mutation!*). Or of another order entirely: think of words, or of deep grammatical grooves forged over many millennia. We are such complexly opportunistic assemblages... I mean, we share so much.
