Yesterday was our last work day at Trout Creek Bible Camp in Corbett, Oregon. What a blessing this has been doing Gods work with Bill & Sussie Russell. The Guys have replaced boards on the bridge, built a large cupboard for the archery equipment & a large bench for the kids. Then they put in a security system & cameras for the go cart arena. They repaired the tube on the slide for the pool, & repaired the bleachers in the gym. They enjoyed working with the young staff at the camp. Susie & I worked in the kitchen where Susie was the expert. We were a great team together. We made over 2,000 chocolate chip & snicker doodle cookies. We made over 500 wiener wraps, over 1,000 grilled cheese sandwiches & turkey & roast beef & cheese sandwiches. We cut up onions, red, yellow & green peppers, for fajitas, tomatoes, onions, & lettuce for hamburgers. Cut up apples,& oranges for fruit trays & filled vegetable trays with carrots, celery, cucumbers, pickles, & black olives. We fed about 300 kids per week. We really enjoyed working with the staff. I really learned a lot about food service & the presentation. We were so blessed by being here. Cant wait to come back. This week we are playing & next Friday we will head to our next volunteer project. Larry & i will be working in Warm Beach Christian Conference Center near Stanwood, Washington. Bill & Susie will be going to Aldergate Christian Camp in Oregon.
