Yesterday was unbearably hot but that didnt stop 20-something people from showing up for the group ride (I dont know the exact number). There were a lot of familiar faces as well as several new ones I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. We decided to change things up a bit and ride our first lap CCW. It was difficult to stay too long at the usual rest stops as we would immediately start sweating buckets as we waited. It wasnt until the end of our first lap when we rehydrating that we learned of our good riding buddy Scott Mullins unfortunate accident in which he suffered a broken arm (Ill let him share any details). He is back home and doing well. We all hope for a speedy recovery and will miss your positive energy on the trail! The second lap was more of a race to beat the heat. I believe we had the biggest group in recent memory join us for Mexican. We talked, we laughed, and we ate Mexican. It was a great night!
