You hear the craziest conversations in the womens locker room. But the one I heard this morning made me cringe. A young lady was telling two older ladies about the death of a very close aunt who passed last night. She went on speaking of the awesome impact that the woman had on her life, how she suffered before passing, and how much she would miss her. One of the two ladies interrupted her and said: Well, do you know if she made it to heaven or not? Instantly I turned around and looked at the lady with this face: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If youre asking why......Then you may need to check your sensitivity gene as well. Did she really expect the girl to say: Oh noooo, Im sure Aunt Wilma is frying in hell as we speak. LIKE REALLY?!?! I tried mentally giving the woman the benefit of the doubt for asking. But at this point, her question means nothing because her aunt is already gone. Its time to console the one left behind. I am really trying to be more purposeful in remembering the heart and feelings of others. There are a lot of people who need to be considered. Sometimes were too busy asking the wrong questions.
