You know an apple tree does not strain and have to practically kill itself to make apples. In the correct environment it naturally produces apples. Given the proper soil, sunshine, rain, it will produce apples easily. That same Appletree placed in the middle of the ocean, will produce nothing. Its still an apple tree, but it is in the wrong environment to produce apples. The Christian is the same way. Given the proper environment our spirits naturally produce the fruits of the Spirit. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5. If youre straining to have love in your life to have peace to have gentleness to have patience, etc. Then youre in the wrong environment. What is the proper environment you ask? In his presence is fullness of joy. Time in his word. Time to worship and praise our God. Time in prayer. In that environment you wont have to strain to produce love, joy, peace. Your spirit will naturally produce them.
