You know earlier today I went to a Diner for brunch.. and I bowed my head for prayer and as I looked up I saw many eyes on me, now I didnt know if the case was I was eating alone or the fact that I was praying over my meal and as the waitress came to me asking me if I was praying? She kind of chuckled to herself. I asked her if there is problem with me praying over my food? And she responded; No, its just Ive never seen anyone really do that, well at a least not in public I guess, I dont know. I dont think youre suppose to. I looked at her and kind of gave a small smile and said: Im grateful for this food, Im not ashamed to pray and have Him bless what I am eating, how can we take all that hes given us for granted? Its a small thing I know, it may look strange, but which is better that I be ashamed and eat this food and not thank Him when he has provided the means to allow me to have it. Or enjoy this meal without a thought of Him and forget how good he has been to me? She just kind of stared at me for a very long time and then replied.. I guess. Then walked away.
