You know you are from Alvin when you remember the Veterans who gave their lives and the= who gave their service in Vietnam. Today is Vietnam Veterans Day. The picture below is of me in An Khe Vietnam being processed to join my unit, 15th Medical Division with the First Air Cavalry. I was a Medic and saw the steady stream of wounded service men. I do not seek to glorify War, nor justify it, but to honor my fellow Veterans who served because it was their duty. As we as a town know, many from Alvin gave the ultimate sacrifice. If you have a relative or friend who served in Vietnam, feel free here to Remember and Honor them.
