Zach is studying government in his 3rd grade class. Yesterday the class was a legislature considering proposals to improve the school. He proudly reported to me last night that his bill to establish a student newspaper passed. It now awaits approval or Veto by the school principal. I told him it was time to hire a lobbyist to mobilize various interest groups to contact the principal and encourage her to sign his bill, maybe take the principal out to dinner to explain the merits of the bill over a nice meal, or offer her tickets to an upcoming Redskins game.
