Zambian Coach Leaves Out Key Players in 29 Team List for Niger Match Zambia senior men’s national football team coach Honor Janza has summoned 29 players ahead of back to back 2015 Morocco Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches to be played against Niger in October. The Chipolopolo travel to Niamey to play the Menas on October 11 before facing the same opposition four days later in Ndola. This will be the first ever meeting between the two senior national teams. Janza continues with his philosophy of regenerating the team and has included youngsters Kayawe Kapota, Boyd Mkandawire, Larry Bwalya, Charles Zulu and Patrick Ngoma in his squad. Also included on Janza’s list is Humphrey Maseneko who has top scored for Konkola Blades in each of the last three league seasons and a fortnight ago played a key role in his team’s triumph over Zanaco in the Barclays Cup. James Chamanga returns to the fold following his recent good form for Liaoning Whowin in the Chinese League. The team’s preparations will start in earnest on Wednesday October 1 when 17 players from the domestic league are expected to report for camp in Lusaka. Foreign-based players are expected to report for camp after their club engagements at the weekend. Zambia in third position and Niger in fourth have a point apiece from two matches in Group F. Cape Verde leads the group with six points while second-placed Mozambique has two.
