#bootybuilding part 1 Its not news that most #girls (and some guys...) are obsessed with building #toned #glutes. Not only is it a problem area in most women, but having a strong posterior chain (lower back, glutes, hamstrings, calves) also helps with improving other compound lifts (especially squats, deadlifts, olympic lifts). This is one of my #favourite posterior chain #exercise - the glute bridge. This is similar but not the same as hip thrusts (some people call them thrusters but I dont like to use this term to avoid confusion as it means a completely different exercise in crossfit) Notice how every rep is controlled and I make sure theres a full range of motion before I descend. Squeezing your glutes together at the top also activates them even more. Beginners can do these without a weight. Those with no access to equipment can do these at home with your feet on the edge of a hard surface. Do them single legged to make it harder.
