The Annual Conference of the National Party is being held in Bathurst on 14th & 15th June. Please contact your National Party MP and ask them to support the Motions put on the Agenda by the Parkes National Party Branch. Phone email or fax - lets put the pressure on. The Motions are:- That Conference call on the NSW Liberal & Nationals Government to:- a) Oppose the introduction of a licensing scheme for dog breeders and any increase or additional registration fees for dog breeders who are members of the Royal NSW Canine Council b) Introduce an education programme regarding animal welfare and pet ownership, and provide financial support for the re-homing of abandoned animals by voluntary groups. AND That Conference call on the NSW Liberal & National Government to initiate a parliamentary inquiry into the charter, powers and public accountability of the NSW RSPCA. Please pass this around to everyone you know. If these motions get up it will be a tremendous help in the fight to stop government licencing of breeders in our already regulated organisation of DogsNSW.
