Here is Michelles story Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am walking a half marathon to riase money for The Ryan Lee Trust. Our daughter Mia was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2011. She completed 18 months of chemotherapy in March 2013. During that time she also had several surgeries including a shunt inserted because of hydrocephalus and a debulk of the tumour. The tumour has left Mia completely blind in both eyes, something noone prepared as for nor warned us could happen. Even after treatment for brain tumours is completed the journey is not over and children are often left with disabilities of varying degrees. The Ryan Lee trust aims to help by providing specialised boxes of resouces and equipment to help overcome to some extent issues that arise because of these disabilities. The Ryan Lee Trust provides equipment and accessories that help develop and strengthen many of the abilities that are lost or damaged as a result of the tumour or the treatment for the tumour.
