Some people will never call it punk, even though it has a simple chord progression, (along with a great guitar solo and riff and bass line) and sounds good and was recorded it 1976. Some call it proto-punk or something else equally ridiculous. But those people who care enough are simply elitists, puritans and annoying idiots in the end.
