i am often asked what my duties are here at the farm. there are a LOT of things happening at all times. we rotate our crops so this year its different than last year, & from what next year will be. right now, we all help to keep an eye on 6 oats fields, 4 corn fields, 1 cabbage field, 1 blueberry field, 2 strawberry fields, 2 pumpkin fields, 2 sugarbeet fields, & 3 rye fields. we have to check for disease, pests, and for any trouble. i help a lot with weeding the berry farms. we have to maintain the crops before were ready to harvest. there is a LOT of running around involved, & sometimes i think we all resemble a crew of busy bees. lol just stopped in for a cup o joe, & out i go again. bzzz bzzzz oh! almost forgot..... as the lady of the farm, there are also children to tend to, feeding everyone is a good thing, ;) tending home & laundry.... i handle the PR & advertising, business details, errands, shopping, phones, & whenever i can squeeze in a moment for art, i do it. im sure i forgot to mention something..... xoxo ~farmgirl
