i was doing my last night scroll on the posts before i sleep, then i came across a very disturbing post. this post is full of about a hundred and something comments and i say, all these comments are about nothing but Namibians destroying themselves. cut story short, i am a Mbalanhu, both my parents are too, was born at Okapauku in Ombalanhu. am from Onambelela, a village 5km from Outapi, and i must say am disturbed by what my fellow mbalanhus are doing. just before i dig into it, i need to make something clear, am not writing this for anyone but my own. i have read of recent attacks on RDP people who happen to go for a meeting somewhere in Outapi. this is shameful, and i condemn it, and i dont subscribe to anyone with similar notion. i believe in free Namibia, where everyone can move freely without restriction of any form. such things were there during colonial era and i dont wish to see them anywhere else in a an independent Namibia. we need to treat each other as brothers or else we are no different from the colonial masters themselves. the SWAPO party that you claim to love so much and such love has strength of changing you into a barbaric person, has never been formed by mbalanhus, last time i remember it was formed by Kwanyamas and Ndongas whom you claim to hate so much. SWAPO is their brain child. and sometimes we must be clever not to be tools used to cause destruction. and if we claim that RDP is for Kwanyamas, and they are not welcome in Outapi, are we also saying SWAPO is for Mbalanhus and they are not welcome to Enhana? or what are we promoting here? so are we saying if you are a mbalanhu and you got in to an accident and a kwanyama is driving by, s/he must not stop for you? i think we need to revisit our thinking and become human first before political objects. Civil war is not a joke and its deadly, even worse then a foreign oppressor. id love to see Namibia where we tolerate each other, a Namibia where i sat in class with a kwanyama, kavango, Damara, etc without problems. a Namibia where i dined with a Catholic, Evangelist without fights. we can not kill ourselves because of these politicians as if they feed us. they dont do anything for us but for themselves. they dont know us, they only want our votes and thats it. if you look at a child of a voter and compares to the child of the voted, you will feel pity. stop the violence and fight in the voting booths. thus why we have elections- its to curb these type of things. below is a video of a woman beaten to death by ANC supporters(and be warned, the video is very disturbing and for sensitive people, you might consider not watching it), and i have questions: is this how you want us to do to eavh other as Namibians? is there anyone who find pleasure in this? imagine this was your mom, your sister, would you have allowed this to go on without intervention? we are free humans with ability to think independently and you can not force another person to join your school of thoughts. we must respect each other and learnt to agree to disagree without getting offended. am a liberal and open to opposing arguments/opinions- feel free to say your mind.
