....its little known by only a few, but many do not know that I am not only a student of NYC history, but of the family history of many of the greatest entrepreneurs that built NYCs history, but the USA. One of those families is most intriguing to me, since I visited one of the grandest and still largest family mansions ever built. The Biltmore Estate in Asheville. Born in Burlington, NC Asheville is just under 4 hours drive. Fortunately for me, I have relatives that live in Asheville, so I could visit anytime. Now, whats so very ironic and COOL is where I live now. In Staten Island, I now live in a room built in the early 1900s for children of the Vanderbilts. Its one of 8 homes on,you guessed it, Vanderbilt ave. Needless to say, this home still shows this grand stature any Vanderbilt home shows, as none were built like a normal house you expect.
