m coming to the realization that one of the biggest effects each of us has on society is simply where we choose to spend our money. When we buy into a staggering number of these corporations, we feed the same machine that most of us are angry about on social networks. Most of the issues in this country ultimately come down to some kind of corporate greed/influence, and when we feed that influence we cant expect things to get better. At all. Shit IS going down in some way or another, and we have people freaking out on one hand, and then others people doing absolutely nothing, both of which only make things worse. I think the least that we can do, while also being one of the most important things, is actively choose which companies need to go by not spending your money there. For example I think fast food is literally responsible for the most death weve ever seen on this planet. Its all the same death, whether its humans, trees, bees, or a dog. Most people will probably laugh this off, but after seeing the video below I just cant stand to support CAFOs anymore. Which means I cant spend my money at any fast food restaurants which are essentially responsible for our mechanical and grotesque slaughtering of 750,000 cows a day (5x that for chickens.) Ive worked with dogs for the past year and my understanding of animals and their consciousness (which is often times much stronger and more sensitive than ours) has led me to realize that cows (and all animals) are literally no different. So its literally up to us if this is ever gonna stop. I dont mean to post negative videos on your feed or to perpetuate the idea, but this video has helped me understand what I need to do as a citizen of the earth and has actually made my gut less accepting of crappy food. And this isnt terribly graphic. Its just sad.
