none are so dismissive as when you criticize tthe vote. presented as our responsibility, our right, our means of participation. a symbolic means for sure that shouldnt be denied, but is it participatory, or effective? instead i prefer to explore why so many dont vote. to build amongst those who already consistently feel the misrepresentation of the current regime of hierarchy. There are more direct voluntary ways to govern ourselves seize and decolonize resources challenge white supremacy and address violence in our own cmnities without state violence or intervention. Validating democrats wil not stop repression. Policy change consistently legaly empowers the state and the police. Gradual change, too slow too depended upon in a growing fascist empire.
