ok, my exercise savvy friends.......this is my every other day workout at the gym, and I am trying to keep at it......I have now worked myself up to three sets of 10 reps each on the leg press, the leg extension, the leg curl, the pull down, the row, the chest press, the lateral raise, the tricep press, the arm curl, the ab x (I do 4 sets of 10 on this machine, the arm ergometer----man does that hurt my arms.......and then I do at least 10-15 min each on my treadmill @ a sustained rate of at least 3.6 miles per hour, and bursts of 4.0 thrown in, and then 10 min on the elliptical--this one hurts the most right now.....and 10-15 on the upright bike and the recumbent bike..... on some days I follow this with an hour of water aerobics w/resistance weights used in the pool.......this old woman is doing her best to get back in shape........I try not to beat myself up if I miss a day, but I sure feel good after I go......:) :) just how often/how long should it take to work myself up to adding weights or another rep.....I went from 2 sets of 8, to 2 sets of 10, to 3 sets of eight and now 3 sets of ten over the past three weeks......yes, I miss a few days but this is my plan for at least 3 days a week!
