ost, it was very timely. In my new Charlotte NC life I realized that I had an impact in my former Atlanta life too. There are two neighbors in my Atlanta world that I got to know to a small extent over the past year and 8 months. They are both single women (one older and one younger than me) who have lived their lives on their terms for the past 20 or so years. They are great and good people that I know. They were standing at the top of my driveway 14c months ago looking at my home and pointing at my house wondering what was going on in there. I went out on to my front porch and beckoned them to come see for themselves (Diffuse the gossip, so to speak). They were concerned that this new guy in the neighborhood had lost his mind. Over the past months they were invited into my home to see what progress had been made since their last visits. In last month the three of us became good friends. I invited them to dinner and let them see what had been completed and then told them that I was moving to Charlotte. The protests were immediate and I wasnt prepared for the reaction. I have many months of work to do to complete the renovations that I started and I return each wekend that I can to accomplish the tasks thst need to be tended to. Last weekend the two women came to the house and were still a little upset. I decided to take them out for ice cream last Saturday evening and things are now good between us all. Ice cream is a form of healing too. I had a good time with my friends. (i may repost this on y home page too, I wanted to share with you thst I agree that I agree that ice cream is a good thing in life), I enjoy the waffle cone myself........Thanks Joyce Van Aken Cawthon
