probably the earliest sign that there was something wrong with me was when i had to give a speech on William Bryan for my freshman communications class. i didnt have a visual aid so i drew a horrible portrait of Bryan on some posterboard with a crayon. during my speech, i (straight face) informed my class that the picture was a priceless artifact that i had received on loan from a nearby museum just for this speech. never cracked a smile, finished the speech, sat down. my instructor was just so confused. while critiquing my speech, he just looked at me and shook his head for the longest time. i mean, your visual aid...it looks like something you drew yourself.
