series one: Yesterday night as I was quietly sat in my room, I sense a huge hunger to study Genesis chapter one, and I begin to read through various version of the bible and suddenly my spiritual understanding where open and behold I found treasure hidden in this chapter, and I felt is worth sharing: Genesis 1:2a “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.”. (NKJV) I picture this in two ways: the life of man by default and this present generation. Human: the moment the first Adam fell in the garden of Eden, he loses the light and the glory that was endorse on him to beautify His world, immediately after this everyman become by default, a man full of darkness, we making research to see how to change the status, and since the fall, we start fighting and finding ways to overcome this perpetual darkness. Our Generation: I began to cross check how does this affect our generation and I came across Jeremiah 4:22-23 For My people are foolish, they know me not; they are stupid children and have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know. I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light.(NASU) I love the way the message version express this thought Jeremiah 4:23 I looked at the earth — it was back to pre-Genesis chaos and emptiness. I looked at the skies, and not a star to be seen. We are trying to search for the God, who is searching for us, He seek for a man. And we do all sought of religious jamboree, gymnastic and dieting all in the name of religion, with the intention to seek God, however we have more knowledge of the devil than we have of God, we know much about what the devil can do than what God can do. The next activity we saw God call to be was light, and Christ tell us in John 8:12 Jesus once again addressed them: I am the worlds Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in. (TM) in other word only Christ availability cast out darkness... Em, this is what happen when a man comes out and give His/her life to Christ, we are at salvation save from darkness to the light. How? In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and God was the word. So the light(word) who is Jesus, enter us via the word, no wonder the bible say faith cometh by hearing and hearing by God’s word, so when ever the word come as an expression of God’s light, it opens us up, and when the word find expression in us it crystallize us and make us light, could this be the reason why Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.(NKJV). Thats let the word find full expression in you that you dont need to convince people of your believe. So has we become a light we also ought to shine so much that we can be able to crystallize someone else to become a light. Another point here in that, when the light was spoken forth, darkness was not banish completely, but there was a vast different between the light and the darkness, and I learn two thing from this: 1) when the light enter you at salvation, darkness is still close and not fully banish completely, that is y you still find appetite of evil still in you , you still see yourself thinking same way, why? Because it was your spirit that get born again, but your soul still remain unchanged and need renewal, no wonder why Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out”. That is why at salvation you still remember the name of people around you. But has the word continuously enter you it transform your heart to an extend the smallest darkness is brighten by the present of the moon. We stop here for the series. My dear reader ask yourself, are you in darkness or light? What are you reflecting? Think! How will you feel if you wake up this morning and you find people seriously wailing and you walk up to two or three people and they tell you rapture has come and gone and here you are still on earth in your deceit?
