she was a beauty inside and out. i remember my heart skipping several beats when i first met her, back in 1974. tonight im just crushed that my long time pal dona adler died today. she had been surfing in hawaii july, 2011. it was a sport she took up after the rest of us... but she loved it and, dare i say, surfed more than her old pals. a month later, she had a stroke, and this earth mama/woman of the world was never the same. she was a life force. and her love affair marriage with giles bateman was the strongest bond between two people ive ever experienced. they were their worlds mom and dad. never was there not enough room in a home or in their hearts for someone else, another person to love and challenge and care for. rip dona. the world was better for you being in it.
