speaking of jobs, a joke that is going around. Joe, who is Jewish, and Bob, his not Jewish friend often meet to catch up, hang out. Joe. always inevitably talks sbout this country club where he has great friends and there is incredible networking...but it is exclusively Jewish, so Joe cannot figure out how to get Bob in. Joe has an aha moment and tells Bob he has an idea. next time Joe goes to country club Bob will join him. He tells Bob evdryone will say hi, do small talk, ask what Bob does for a living and Bob should answer "talleisim". with that job, people will figure Bob is Jewish and things will continue smoothly. everyone will have a blast. so they go to the country club a few weeks later, everyone is chatting ir up with Bob and the magical question comes up...what do you do, Bob and Bob answers "talleisim". so one of the guys who us not particularly observant/knowledgable asks Bob So, what do the words on the back of the tallis around the caller mean ib English?" Bob replies: "I only work on the sleeves."
