"the extensive time needed to develop pipeline networks" Strange, how nobody is talking about how the burden of government regulations factors in to this. The very government regulations imposed in the name of "environmental protection" are the main source of this travesty. If the government just stepped aside, and let market forces prevail, the oh-so-evil profit motive of oil companies would drive them to rapidly install the infrastructure that would enable them to capitalize on the natural gas. But, as always, the only "solution" the statists can think of is more government regulations. Duh!!!
