the federal reserve continues to allocate funds in a way that increases the currency supply. this devalues the almighty dollar. other central banks such as the reserve bank of australia, japanese and UK central banks, do their best to keep up, because they want a weak currency in comparison. everyone has experienced the effects of inflation in their lives. people whine that the dollar doesnt buy as much as it used to, maybe 3% less than last year, maybe 10%. fiat currencies periodically go into hyperinflation, losing value at 25% a year, or even a day. in fact, it happens all the time. would you be prepared if the currency of your country started losing value at that rate?
