MARSTON DIES AT 85 YEARS Retired Penn Township Man Had Lived in Dexter Since 1943 Edwin F. Marston of Dexter, retired Penn township farmer, died April 11, at the Dexter hospital. He was 85 years of age. Mr. Marston had spent his life in Penn township until his retirement in 1943, when he moved in to Dexter. He was born Oct. 4, 1876, a son of Fletcher and Martha McClain Marston. He was married Jan. 12, 1898, to Melinda Cox. They recently celebrated their sixty-fourth wedding anniversary. He had been a member of the Penn Center Methodist Church since early life. He leaves his wife; six children, Everett Marston of Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Pearl Secrest of Macksburg, Mrs. Mable Knox of Nyssa, Ore., Mrs. Velma Babcock of Oak Lawn, Ill., Mrs. Dortha Findlay of Minoka, Ill., and Mrs. Martha Webb of Dexter; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Cora Speer of Dexter. Funeral services were held April 14 from the Dexter Methodist church, with the Rev. John Latta and the Rev. Lester Bullock officiating.
