#tristatewx May 15, 2014: Some hail possible today... Very cold air aloft coupled with a few thunderstorms may mean hail today in some of our counties. Although surface temperatures wont be overly warm today, there will be just enough warming to help trigger some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Hail is more likely because the freezing level is so low today. Freezing levels will be near 7000 feet. If thunderstorms can form later today then there would likely be several reports of gusty winds and hail. Keep that in mind. Thursday - Cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. A few storms could produce hail and gusty winds. Cool for the middle of May. Highs only in the 50s and 60s. North winds at 10 mph. Thursday night - Chilly. A few showers. Early evening thunderstorm possible, as well. Overnight lows from 38 to 45 degrees. North winds at 10 mph. Friday - Cool for May. A few clouds. Highs only in the 60s. West winds at 10 mph. Friday night - A few clouds. Very cool for May. Lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Northwest winds at 10 mph. Saturday - Partly cloudy and cool for May. Below normal temperatures again. Highs only in the lower to middle 60s. Saturday night - A few clouds. Cool. Lows in the 40s. Sunday - Partly sunny and a little warmer. Highs near 70 degrees.
