Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis - ALS, aka Motor Neuron Illness(MND)/Lou Gehrigs Disease is a crippling,terminal illness that slowly takes away physical capabilities to walk,swallow,talk and breathe.The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages around 6 years from the time of onset/diagnoses.Familiar form ALS has afflicted many relatives of the woman im going to marry and love faithfully in Gods honor: Tammy Renee Holloway Lane,or Grace Bell as i call her.Including her mother and sister. Its also very meaningful and essential to give total compassion to the heart of those related to people battling this illness,and ive did this and will continue with Gods guidance providing perfect gentleness & loyalty for Ms.Holloway. Familial ALS is typically caused by mutations in different genes(including a gene known as SOD1), Many other potential causes,including chemical exposure,electromagnetic field exposure, physical trauma, have been investigated. This crippling disease can strike anyone. Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year.Its estimated as many as 30,000 Americans may have the disease. ALS has afflicted creator of Sesame Street Jon Stone,musicians Lead Belly,Jason Becker and Charles Mingus,former vice president Henry Wallace, physicist Stephen Hawking,as well as Baseball players Hunter and Gehrig,whom is the most well known to aquire this illness.
