well after getting thru the first months bills, with moving costs and stocking the fridge.(with mamas help)settling into new/the jobs we do jobs. we went to dinner last night at my fave Italian restaurant for some great fettacini and awesome diver pan seared scallops in pachetta, mediera sauce.as we sat there sharing a nice vino and sharing our day i found myself alittle sad and melancholy as ii have been for over a week now. fast forward to today when we met great friends for cocktails and then came home to the furbabies and I got lovebeat by my year old bully boy.(yes im gonna have a black eye) I realized that that I have been sad for such selfish reasons for the last week.For those of you that truly know me ur aware I lost ahuge part of my life with my uncles passing last week. He was a small man with a huge presence in many peoples lives.I would like to say that he was a man of few words but THAT was so not him! HEHEHEHEE! and as I was nursing my wounds this evening I had an epiphany,awakening or whatever.His words to me some 25 plus years ago when I was trying to straighten out were to be happy and well and fk what anyone else thinks or says because somebody is always gonna have something to say no matter what you do, END OF DISCUSSION.Then we had wine! No one could ever have the love that my uncle(in my opinion) had for my beautiful aunt or she for him. they were and entity unto themselves and to their immediate family unlike no other.With that being said, I took a deep breath tonite and gave thanks that I have the love of a grand soul,i work hard,im satisfied with my life, I love my family to the moon and back. I did not get here alone. I so had the teachings of many in my path to becoming who I am and Peter Dame, my uncle,was a huge part of that. I pulled out photos and laughed really hard remembering when and what and why and ceasesd being sad.He wouldnt be pleased if I were sad,and I will forever smile forever more in his memory(in fact he would probably have some totally inappropriate statement about the whole thing anyway) LOL
