well leave it to clumsy me. i decided to man-up and do my own landscaping today. i ordered 4 yards of rock about 5 weeks ago, and i finally realized nobody is going to help me move it. so, today i decided i would just do it myself and make all FIVE boys that i live with feel bad for making their poor, tired mom/wife do it all by herself. sigh. so i head out there with my new wheelbarrow, shovel, music, and water. i maneuver the tools through my gate and around the trees, and i make the turn toward the small hill to the rock. the moment i make the turn, my right leg slides down the hill in the mud, but my left leg stays put. and... you guessed it. i totally fell down and twisted the snot out of my ankle, smashed my bad knee, and landed on my back. in the mud. i realize now how the woman in the help, ive fallen, and i cant get up commercial feels. so, i just sat on the ground for about 15 minutes and pulled weeds while i caught my breath. i finally hobbled back to the pool deck and called for help. here i am, almost 12 hours later, with a black ankle that i am unable to put any weight on. dangit. i guess i will get an xray tomorrow. lesson learned - obviously i am a queen, and queens arent supposed to do yard work.
